The Data Protection Act 2018 controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government. It is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Diocese of Chichester is committed to providing effective management of data. Where the Diocese of Chichester receives any personal data (as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018) from clergy, parishioners or the general public, it shall ensure that it fully complies with the provisions of the Act and only deals with the data to fulfil its obligations under the contract.
