Bishop Meets the Whole Church Community as Deanery Visits Continue
This week, the Bishop of Chichester, Dr Martin Warner, continues a series of deanery visits when he spends Monday and Tuesday (11/12 March) in the Uckfield deanery followed by two days (Wednesday 13/Thursday 14) in the Midhurst deanery.
Dr Warner, along with the bishops of Lewes and Horsham, are between them visiting all of the 21 deaneries in the Diocese to hear what is happening in the parishes as they listen to clergy and laity and meet other community leaders.
During the next four days, the Bishop will have meetings and take part in services and meeting many involved in the life of the local churches as he follows a full programme of organised events.
Today (Monday 11) the Bishop will also meet members of the Newick lunch club and then visit Chailey Heritage School. https://www.chf.org.uk
On Wednesday (13th) Dr Warner will visit the Southdowns National Park Authority HQ and hold talks with Margaret Paren, Chair of the organisation. https://www.southdowns.gov.uk/
The following day (14th) the Bishop joins with Gilbert Hanam foundation for a service in Midhurst Parish Church to celebrate its work in education. https://www.mrc-academy.org/about-us/gilbert-hannam-education-foundation
