Hearing the voice of our community
Together in Sussex, in partnership with the Diocese of Chichester, is to build a wider picture of some of the strains faced by local communities.
This month, Together in Sussex (TiS) is asking for your thoughts and insights to help identify some of the strains faced by local communities.
Diane Watts lead parish co-coordinator for TiS said: "Our combined knowledge can help focus attention on local issues and address needs in a sustainable way.
"Respondents can write as much or as little as they like and the outcomes will be shared with the diocese and with other bodies locally and nationally.
"Any information you can give us would be really useful. Your responses will remain completely anonymous, unless you indicate that you are happy for your community to be identified. The information you give us will be stored for the purposes of building a wider report
and then deleted once this has been written. We will publish any findings on our website and as part of our regular newsletters so you can get a snapshot of some of the social issues in the Diocese.
Personal or group responses are very welcome. Please feel free to share these questions with friends, contacts and other charities - the more information we can get the better!
Please email your responses to diane.watts@chichester.anglican.org
Here come the questions!
1. Have you noticed any concerns around
community tensions and Brexit?
2. Does your community have any concerns
around people’s access to services locally?
This might be through personal experience or
knowledge of other people’s difficulties accessing
local services. If you are able to provide examples
that would be great.
3. Have you and your community noticed a
change in the cost of living? If so, what impact
have you noticed?
4. Is your community involved with or have
knowledge of the EU Settlement Scheme? If so,
have any concerns been raised about this?
Thank you so much for stopping to think about some of these things. We are very much looking forward to hearing the voices in our communities.
