Everyone has a vocation - can we help you find yours?
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last.” John 15:16
Every Christian has a vocation.
Vocation means what you are called by God to be and do.
The church believes everyone is called to serve God according to their given gifts, talents, and context.
The Fourth Sunday of Easter is known as Vocations Sunday or Good Shepherd Sunday. It is a time to consider how God might be calling you.
It’s a time when clergy and lay leaders are challenged to commit to having one conversation a month about vocation with someone different from themselves and to pray for people by name.
For those looking to foster a culture of vocation in their community, a Vocations Pack can be downloaded here

This year the Diocese is running an online event on Zoom, introduced by Bishop Will, where different people will speak about their vocation from daily discipleship in a marketing career to being a parish priest.
The event takes place on 30 April at 10:00am. There will be the opportunity for discussion in breakout groups and a chance to pray. We hope this will be part of encouraging us all to consider how God is calling us.
