New ordinands preparing for ministry this Autumn
We welcome three disciples who have now begun their training in theological colleges this Autumn.
Keir Shreeves, the Diocesan Director of Ordinands, welcomed the start of their training and said: “We are very pleased to have sent three disciples of Christ to prepare for ordination at theological education institutions. These candidates have been through a new two-stage national process of preparation and discernment. Their training takes place in community and will help deepen their theological understanding, spirituality and practical skills."
Each were called to train for ordained ministry and have all undergone a rigorous process to ensure they are prepared for this concentrated stage of training.
Harri England is from Holy Trinity Hastings and starts her 3 years F/T Residential Training at Ridley. She said: 'I'm very excited to start college at the end of September, moving to Cambridge with Sally the cat. After 10 years in Hastings it will be a very big change. I'm looking forward to spending time in an environment of study and worship of God and meeting new people. What a privilege to spend three years doing this.”
Andrew James from All Saints, Hove, commences 2 years F/T Residential Training at Ripon College (Cuddesdon) and Carly Taylor from The United Benefice of East Blatchington and Bishopstone, will be starting her 3 years P/T Training at St Augustine.
Please pray for each candidate as they commence their training this month.
