Rural conference gives hope and encouragement
A conference hosted by the Rural Officer for East Sussex, Gary Cregeen, gave delegates hope and encouragement.
The event, Renewing Hope In Rural Mission and Ministry, was held in Vicar's Hall, Chichester, and was filled to capacity, with laity and clergy from across the Diocese, and beyond.
Speakers including Simon Mattholie, CEO of Rural Ministries; Rob Walrond, Farmer and Rural Advisor in the Diocese of Bath & Wells, and Trish Bancroft, a rural Rector in West Sussex who gave a local perspective.
The day concluded with a short Service of Thanksgiving in the cathedral, led by Canon Jack Dunn and included a homily by Archdeacon Angela Martin. Gary Cregeen, said, “ All in all, a great day with lots of encouragement, hope and inspiration.
