Revd Jo King, vicar at Holy Cross Bersted in West Sussex, and Revd Annette Hawkins vicar at St Mary Salehurst, in East Sussex both share the position of Diocesan Disability Advisers alongside their parish ministry. They will play a vital role in ensuring churches are accessible to all. The focus will be on welcoming all people and creating an inclusive community where everyone can fully participate in the life of the Church.

Jo, and Annette both have personal interest in advocating change in the way the diocese takes forward this important ministry.

At the start they will assess the needs of the diocese with education, training and pastoral care being priority areas.

It is anticipated that collaboration will be crucial to the success of this ministry and Jo and Annette are keen to hear from anyone with an interest, experience or skills in this area.
