Brighton parish blesses new public defibrillator
The Church of the Annunciation in Brighton has joined the growing number of churches installing public defibrillators.
The life-saving device, dedicated in memory of beloved parishioner Janet Hewlett-Davies, was made possible by her generous benefaction.
Installed for the parish of Hanover, the new defibrillator underscores the church's commitment to community well-being. Vicar Fr Anthony Murley expressed the parish's gratitude, saying, “We are delighted to put this kind gift to use in service of our community. We give thanks for the life-giving and life-saving potential it offers to us all, as we remember the promise of Jesus of ‘life, and to its fullest’.”
The defibrillator was blessed with holy water and incense during a recent Sunday mass.
