Assistant Youth Pastor, St Andrew's Church, Burgess Hill

Part Time (3 days/week including Sundays)

Salary: £15,000

St Andrew's is an evangelical charismatic Anglican Church in the heart of Mid Sussex. We are recruiting an Assistant Youth Pastor to support our thriving and growing youth ministry.

There are currently over 70 youth aged 11-18 involved in our youth ministry at St Andrew’s, which includes our Sunday morning services, midweek discipleship groups, Bible studies, socials and our monthly evening services.

The main focus of the role is to get alongside our young people and make disciples by leading, teaching, encouraging, supporting and listening to them. Responsibilities will include preparing and leading youth group sessions and Bible studies, helping organise residentials and trips, pastoral care, helping manage our team of volunteer youth leaders and supporting our work with young people in local secondary schools.

You will be working closely with our Youth Pastor, Vicar, Associate Vicar and other staff and volunteers to deliver our vision: to love Jesus, love people, love church and love Burgess Hill and beyond…
